These earrings were made for Katie who requested a pair of earrings that she could wear with anything, everyday. Katie had recently moved house and sadly in the move a glass door was broken. Not just any door – an old glass door that had belonged to her mother. When we were talking about her everyday earrings it struck me that I would be able to take an impression of the glass from the door to create her earrings. Each pair is a little different depending on where the impression is taken from. Unique and individual each pair of earrings tells their own story of this everyday door that now lives on in a new form.
