Butterflies in Flight
|Dimension:||22 x 8 x 21 mm|
Since she was a little girl, Sally has been spellbound by the grace of a butterfly. Her father had a collection of preserved butterflies pinned in a box, but Sally refused to look at them. One day she was found attempting to free these prisoners trapped behind the glass, but to her dismay they didn’t fly away. These butterfly earrings are in flight and have that true feeling of freedom she hoped for. Made from 100% reclaimed sterling silver, the surface has a brushed matt finish while the beads are highly polished giving them a special glimmer. This piece couples well with Sally’s Butterfly Pendant.
“In a world awash with jewellery, I have so rarely found a jeweller who places so much importance on minimising the environmental impact of their work as Laura does with Coral Covey. Brilliant!”
“I have commissioned Laura to design and create several pieces for me and my expectations have been exceeded every time. Her passion for both the origins of materials and commitment to telling a story is in itself shear artistry.”
“Laura was attentive and really listened to what I wanted. She is very friendly and easy to deal with, communicating through the process with sketches, test models and the finer details. I would highly recommend Laura for any jewellery with a personal touch. It makes it all the better knowing its made from reclaimed silver!”
