What's my ring size?

This 9 karat rose gold ring was handmade by Laura in Melbourne. It has four Australian sapphires (two each side) and one diamond (middle) set into it.

It was handmade using 100% reclaimed/recycled gold. For more information on why it’s important to use reclaimed/recycled gold click here.

This ring comes with special care instructions and is beautifully packaged in a wooden box made by the New Zealand team at GIVE. These guys make special bespoke wooded jewellery boxes for Coral Covey that are made from sustainable forest woods with care, quality and workmanship.

Customers who looked at this ring also checked out these items Let Me Hold you Forever Ring & Tiffany meets Coral.

This ring was initially made as an engagement ring. These commissions are often the most enjoyable projects I get to make. It’s an exciting time and there is a lot of secrecy, timing and covert ring sizing that needs to take place. It’s a bit like being a secret agent who is part of undercover operation.

Gary approached me about making a ring for his proposal to Rose well in advance of his planned date. This gave us enough time to develop the design and source the right stones. He wanted to use an ethically mined diamond but wasn’t sure what else to include. I suggested Australian blue sapphires would be a beautiful accompaniment. As an Australian himself, he loved this suggestion. All five stones are set in 9-karat rose gold using a ‘cast in place’ technique. This is where the stones are set in the wax and the casting of the metal happens with the stones in the investment. For more technical information on how this process is done, click here.

Once the ring was finished Gary proposed to Rose on the sandy beaches of Rye, their favourite beach, and the one where they met, some 7 years ago. Ruby said ‘YES!’ and so began the next exciting chapter of their lives. Congratulations guys!
