Our Love Ring
These two rings were for a truly lovely couple Tara and Laurie. The two were high school sweethearts and after a long time together they finally decided to get married. These two rings were handmade by Laura in Melbourne.
Tara’s ring has 3 high quality blue Australian sapphires set on a 9 karat rose gold band. These stones were carefully selected to fit together in this unique setting that Laura designed and created by hand.
Laurie’s ring has a carved texture in 9 karat rose gold and special Australian ferns have been engraved into the outside of the band.
Both Tara and Laurie’s Rings have the date ‘1. Feb’ engraved into the inside of the band as a reminder of the first day they met. So romantic it makes my heart melt.
It was made using 100% reclaimed/recycled gold. For more information on why it’s important to use reclaimed/recycled gold click here.
This sparkling ring comes beautifully gift packaged in a wooden box made by the New Zealand team at GIVE. These guys make special bespoke wooded jewellery boxes for Coral Covey that are made from sustainable forest woods with care, quality and workmanship. Included is also special care instructions for the ring.
If you need guidance regarding sizes, please email Laura to discuss details – email@example.com. Not sure of your ring size, click here to find out what size you need.
I carved both rings by hand from solid wax with a file, then a process called Lost Wax Casting was used to create the solid metal rings. The rings were finished with a special technique to highlight the engraving on each ring.
Benny and Sare were thrilled with the final pieces and felt connected to the memories they symbolised and the promise of the future they represent.
Congratulations Benny and Sare!

” There is something very special about knowing where my jewellery comes from and the hands that crafted it. I get compliments every time I wear my earrings from Laura.”
“In a world awash with jewellery, I have so rarely found a jeweller who places so much importance on minimising the environmental impact of their work as Laura does with Coral Covey. Brilliant!”
“I met with Laura to discuss commissioning a custom made sterling silver headpiece for my wedding. Everything in the shops seems so mass produced and I wanted something truly special. Laura asked all the right questions and created exactly what I wanted. She kept me informed the whole way. The end result was so beautiful, more than I could have ever imagined!”
