Josh discovered Laura’s work on Instagram and booked a video consultation to discuss his ideas. Though Josh was based on the Sunshine Coast and Laura in Melbourne, they collaborated remotely to create this special piece for his soon-to-be fiancée, Courtney.
Laura guided him through the process, asking thoughtful questions to get a sense of what Courtney was like — her style, her hobbies, the colours she loves, and any personal details Josh wanted to weave into the design.
After the consult, Laura sourced three stunning Australian sapphires, each one completely unique in tone and shape. The three of them coming together made for such a gorgeous asymmetrical three stone ring. All three sapphires were hand-fossicked in Central Queensland and hand cut by an artisanal lapidarist. They included a cushion cut, oval and round brilliant cut, totalling 1.88ct.
The sapphires were secured in Laura’s signature organic-style claws and set in 100% recycled and refined 18-carat rose gold. The mix of rich green tones and warm pink gold gives the ring a beautiful earth and romantic feel.
Inside the band, a special engraving of “C & J” sits alongside two tiny carved flowers, a subtle but meaningful detail for the two of them.

This ring came gift packaged in a wooden box made by the New Zealand team at GIVE. These guys make special bespoke wooden jewellery boxes for Coral Covey from sustainable forest woods with care, quality and workmanship.
Laura also includes an authenticity certificate with every ring, detailing the carat and quality of the precious stones and metal as well as special care instructions.
Customers who were interested in this item also viewed the 'A Foresty Green Treasure' ring.
