Emily and Ella each reached out to Laura separately, planning to surprise the other with an engagement ring. Ella was the first to propose, designing a platinum three-stone piece for Emily featuring a 0.69ct oval purple sapphire at the centre, flanked by a pear cut parti sapphire and an heirloom round brilliant cut ruby.
Soon after, Emily contacted Laura to create a ring for Ella, drawing inspiration from a past Coral Covey piece ‘Together we Grow’ that they both loved. She designed an 18-carat rose gold ring with a 0.91ct oval Australian green parti sapphire at the centre, flanked by two pear cut green and yellow parti sapphires.
Both rings share the same foundations: a three-stone layout, organic claw settings, and hand-engraved native ferns and leaves along the band. On the inside of each band are two tiny paw prints representing their dogs, Possum and Sprout.
Similar in form yet completely individual, the rings reflect the same intention from both sides — a gift of love to celebrate their partnership, their life together, and the story they are building.
Congratulations, Emily and Ella, on a shared journey marked by two surprises and two beautiful rings.
You can find out more about the importance of using recycled materials here.
This ring came gift packaged in a wooden box made by the New Zealand team at GIVE. These guys make special bespoke wooden jewellery boxes for Coral Covey from sustainable forest woods with care, quality and workmanship.
Laura also includes an authenticity certificate with every ring, detailing the carat and quality of the precious stones and metal as well as special care instructions.

Thanks for your interest in a custom-made ring. Creating a special ring is a really lovely process and one we absolutely love!
