Lewis first discovered Coral Covey at a local market, where he surprised Alana with one of Laura's Invisible Threads rings. As their relationship continued to grow, he returned with a new vision. This time, he wanted to create an engagement ring that reflected Alana's style and the life they had built together.
Although the couple now call the Gold Coast home, the design process unfolded through video calls and emails, allowing every detail to be refined from interstate. Lewis spoke about their first official date on a hike, Alana's striking blue eyes, and their shared love of nature and the ocean. Those moments helped shape the design from the very beginning.
The final piece was hand carved in 14-carat classic yellow gold, crafted from 100% recycled and refined material. Inspired by the Together We Grow design, the ring balances a timeless, symmetrical silhouette with organic detailing. Twenty-four hand carved leaves frame the setting, representing the 24th of May, the day Lewis and Alana first met.
Featuring a 1.23ct oval brilliant cut Australian blue sapphire from Inverell, New South Wales. Chosen for its vivid blue colour, reminiscent of Alana's eyes, the sapphire is flanked by two round brilliant cut white diamonds, creating a classic three-stone composition. Each gemstone is secured in Laura's signature organic claw settings, with delicate leaf details woven into the design.
The band features a soft polish finish and a gently rounded profile, designed for everyday comfort while allowing the Australian sapphire and hand carved details to take centre stage. A one-of-a-kind ring created to celebrate where their story began and the adventures still to come.

This ring came gift packaged in a wooden box made by the New Zealand team at GIVE. These guys make special bespoke wooden jewellery boxes for Coral Covey from sustainable forest woods with care, quality and workmanship.
Laura also includes an authenticity certificate with every ring, detailing the carat and quality of the precious stones and metal as well as special care instructions.
