For Alex and Lauren, Laura wanted to create something that felt like it had washed ashore, a little hoard of mismatched, beautiful things brought together in the one setting. At the centre of it all sits a striking freeform parti sapphire, its faceted surface holding deep teal blending into warm olive green, like light moving through shallow water.
Surrounding the sapphire is a gathering of treasures collected one by one: a champagne diamond glowing warm against the rose gold, a soft grey-blue sapphire catching the light from the side, and a tiny milgrain-edged sapphire set lower on the shank, finished with delicate beaded detailing that mimics the texture of coral. Each stone was chosen for its own particular charm, with no two settings quite alike, coral-inspired textures, shell motifs and softly organic claws cradle every gem as though they have grown there naturally over time.
Hand-engraved botanical detailing winds along the rest of the band, tying the whole piece together with the same organic, hand-finished character found throughout.
The result is a ring that feels like a tide pool full of found treasures, eclectic, textural and entirely one of a kind, made to be discovered all over again every time it catches the light.
Congratulations, Alex and Lauren.
