A beautiful free form sapphire that draws inspiration from Australia's blue sky

Lionel approached Laura to commission this ring for Madeline in secret. Designing a ring for a loved one without them knowing is a tricky business and requires a lot of covert activity. He chose a unique central stone inspired by the swirling colours of the sky. This ring was a perfect fit for Madeline, a testament to how well Lionel knows her. Congratulations you lovely two!

The stunning central stone is a unique free form cut Australian sapphire and is flanked by two Australian Argyle diamonds. A free form cut is where the lapidarist (the person cutting the stone) is able to cut the sapphire in an organic way and does not conform to traditional, classic cuts. Using varying heights and angle, the stones are set into a 100% recycled and refined 14-carat rose gold band using a bead setting. You can find out more about the importance of using recycled materials here.

This ring came gift packaged in a wooden box made by the New Zealand team at GIVE. These guys make special bespoke wooden jewellery boxes for Coral Covey from sustainable forest woods with care, quality and workmanship.

Laura also includes an authenticity certificate with every ring, detailing the carat and quality of the precious stones and metal as well as special care instructions.
