Kelly and Ben approached Laura to create their special rings that although they had different styles in mind there was a common thread. Kelly fell in love with a free form cut stone, and this stunning 1.31 carat Australian Sapphire is unique. A free form cut is where the lapidarist (the person cutting the stone) is able to cut the sapphire in an organic way and does not conform to traditional, classic cuts, not unnecessarily wasting parts of the rough.
In order to show off the stone’s beauty, Laura has taken the sapphire and used her signature organic-flat-spot 6 prong setting to offset the angular form of the stone. Kelly’s ring has two eucalyptus leaves engraved on the inside of the band – matching the inside of Ben’s wedding band. A special feature the two had decided would talk about their time in Oz. Kelly’s ring has a half round profile, hand carved band in 100% recycled Rose Gold. Congratulations your lovely two.
