When Laura sat down with Rod & Ruby in her studio to discuss the designs for their wedding bands, they confessed to not knowing what they would like. However, after a chat about their relationship, their hopes and their dreams as a couple, Laura suggested this design.
Rod and Ruby had recently purchased their own place and were proudly renovating parts of it. They loved the area and would often take their dog, ‘Milo’ on long walks through the windy, leafy streets. This sparked an idea for Laura, and she proposed incorporating their journey on the rings.
The inside of the rings share both a heart and the plan of their home when joined together, and their footsteps traverse the two rings. Milo is always there too as the dotted path, winding between their footsteps as they walk their own special path together. (Note – Ruby’s ring has a wave form to accommodate her engagement ring)
Both rings were hand-carved by Laura and each ring bears her maker’s mark and the carat of gold used. Laura uses 100% recycled and refined gold.
Laura packages all her bespoke rings with their own special care instructions and packages them up in a handmade wooden box made by the New Zealand company GIVE. This company make beautiful bespoke wooded jewellery boxes for Coral Covey with care, quality and workmanship that are made from sustainable forest woods.
