Rings with a shared path to our forever home

These rings chart Cherie and Ben’s journey from place to place – from early romance in Sydney all the way to their forever home in Melbourne. This journey is represented by an engraving that traverses both rings – when stacked together, the map is completed. The lovely couple called in to discuss their rings with Laura in her studio and it wasn’t long before the three of them were designing up the ideas for these special rings. Sometimes life takes you on a journey without you knowing it, and it’s just the adventure you needed. Congratulations Ben & Cherrie! May your journey be a path well travelled.

This ring was handcrafted using 100% recycled and refined 9-carat rose gold. The surface is a beautiful faceted texture, representing the landscape.  To find out more about the sustainable approach used at Coral Covey, click here.

This ring comes gift packaged in a wooden box made by the New Zealand team at GIVE. These guys make special bespoke wooden jewellery boxes for Coral Covey from sustainable forest woods with care, quality and workmanship.

Laura also includes an authenticity certificate with every ring, detailing the carat and quality of the precious stones and metal as well as the special care instructions.

Workshops

Thanks for your interest in my Ring Making Workshops. These are a really fun way to make your own wedding bands or make a ring for a friend.

For this particular workshop we need two half days of approx 3-4 hours. I will guide you both through what is possible, and then I assist you in carving the rings for each other.

– In the first class, we will meet at my workshop in The Nicholas Building and I will size you both and teach you both the art of wax carving the ring to the correct size.
– 2-3 weeks later, at the second meeting, you will learn to file and finish the rings together using classic jewellery techniques, tools and materials.
– You are not required to have any prior skills, materials or tools.
All of this is provided for you.

My price for the two half days is $790. Please note this is for both of you and that these are weekdays, however this does not cover the cost of the rings.

The price of the ring itself will be determined by three factors:
– material
– finger ring size
– band thickness
