Joanne, a cherished returning client, eagerly returned to Laura to design a special ring in celebration of her upcoming 50th birthday. Previously, Laura made Joanne and Mark's wedding band, which you can view here.
Initially, Jo envisioned a design centred around her family, incorporating birthstones for herself, her husband, and their two children. However, as Laura listened to Jo's reflections on this significant birthday, it became clear that the ring should celebrate Jo's personal journey and achievements over the past 50 years. Laura aimed to highlight this, while subtly including family elements in the design.
Jo ultimately chose a stunning 1.25ct emerald cut Australian sapphire, which captivated her from the start. To complement it, she selected two oval cut Australian sapphires, creating a classic, yet unique arrangement with the emerald cut set East to West in an organic setting.
Inside the band, Laura engraved a river and four daisies. The river symbolises Taggerty, a beloved family holiday destination where they have made cherished memories every summer over the last decade. The four daisies represent Jo, her husband, son, and daughter.
It was a joy for Laura to collaborate with Jo on this special piece, perfectly balancing a celebration of Jo's individuality with her deep love for her family.
