Kara approached Laura at The Rose Street Artists’ Market to chat about making a very special ring. She had a few ideas of what she wanted however the main point was “two stones of varied cuts.” This was enough of a starting point for Laura to start designing this piece.
They met again at Laura’s Workshop where Kara was able to select the two stones that she wanted, two stunning Australian Sapphires, one oval, the other princess cut.
Kara is a doctor, so the setting for these stones needed to be flush and easy to wear. Laura created a soft curve where the band meets the setting to avoid catching. The band is handcrafted using 100% recycled / reclaimed rose gold and has a brushed polish finish. To find out more about the sustainability approach used at Coral Covey, click here.
This ring comes gift packaged in a wooden box made by the New Zealand team at GIVE. These guys make special bespoke wooden jewellery boxes for Coral Covey from sustainable forest woods with care, quality and workmanship.
Laura also includes an authenticity certificate with every ring, detailing the carat and quality of the precious stones and metal as well as special care instructions.
