Jenny’s Pentagon Pears

Akiv and Jenny met 11 years ago at a board game night and have been by each other’s side ever since. When it came time to design Jenny’s engagement ring, Akiv wanted something timeless with its own distinctive twist.

He first came across Laura’s work at The Big Design Market and later booked a consultation, bringing two close friends along to help fine-tune the design and make the process a little less daunting and a lot more fun.

The final piece features an extraordinary 0.97ct teal parti sapphire in a rare pentagon cut. This shape is not something you come across often, making it a truly unique and special marker of their love. Its blue-green teal tones shift beautifully in different lighting and angles and are perfectly complemented by two green parti pear-cut side stones.

Set in 100% recycled and refined 18ct yellow gold, the ring showcases Laura’s distinctive organic claws and soft setting style. The design balances classic proportions with playful cuts, embracing individuality and timelessness in equal measure.

This ring came gift packaged in a wooden box made by the New Zealand team at GIVE. These guys make special bespoke wooden jewellery boxes for Coral Covey from sustainable forest woods with care, quality and workmanship.

Laura also includes an authenticity certificate with every ring, detailing the carat and quality of the precious stones and metal as well as special care instructions.
