A Trio of Rings Cradling a Green Sapphire Among Branches and Leaves

Rebecca had been gifted a beautiful opal engagement ring—a stone she loved—but she was looking for something more durable for everyday wear. This led her to reach out to Laura, after spending some time online gathering ideas. She shared hand-drawn sketches and reference images of sapphire colours she was drawn to, which helped guide the early stages of the design process.

Together, they began working on a custom three-ring stack: an engagement ring, wedding band, and first year anniversary ring. Each piece was designed with longevity in mind and shaped by meaningful details.

Rebecca wanted the rings to reflect her love of nature and her growing family. She was drawn to asymmetry, organic textures, and natural elements. Laura shaped the bands into branch-like forms and added tiny leaves and dew drops that flowed from the setting into the bands, creating a beautiful cohesive look across all three rings.

The engagement ring was made first and features a 1.53ct hand cut pear-shaped Australian sapphire in a rich green tone. It’s held in Laura’s organic style claws and accented by three round brilliant white diamonds. Laura set the sapphire slightly higher up, so the two other rings could sit neatly beneath it, allowing them to be worn comfortably and snug together.

Not long after, they created the wedding and anniversary rings. Each one was carefully shaped to nestle against the engagement ring and mirror its natural textures.

All three rings were crafted in 100% recycled and refined platinum, finished with rhodium plating for a bright appearance. Additional white and champagne diamonds were scattered throughout the bands to add soft sparkle without overwhelming the overall design.
