Not all rings are a symbol of romantic love or the promise of forever—they can also be a meaningful gift between friends, representing a bond built on years of laughter, shared memories, and unwavering support.
Rach approached Laura to create a special ring for her long-time friend, Lauren, who was soon to be married. She wanted this gift to be a lasting symbol of their 13 years of friendship.
To honour their bond, Laura engraved 13 fern leaves beneath this stunning 1.13ct Australian green freeform-cut sapphire. This particular colour and cut of the sapphire allows light to pass straight through, making the intricate engraving visible from above.
The sapphire is set in Laura’s 'Loop Me In' setting style, where two metal loops gently cradle the stone from both ends, with claws protecting its corners on the opposing sides.
This piece was crafted using 100% recycled and refined 9-carat yellow gold. Laura also added additional engraved fern details on the side of the band to tie it all together. A timeless symbol of friendship that will endure for years to come.

This ring came gift packaged in a wooden box made by the New Zealand team at GIVE. These guys make special bespoke wooden jewellery boxes for Coral Covey from sustainable forest woods with care, quality and workmanship.
Laura also includes an authenticity certificate with every ring, detailing the carat and quality of the precious stones and metal as well as special care instructions.
