This centre sapphire is sure to stop traffic. Hand fossicked in Rubyvale, Queensland, and expertly hand-cut in Hahndorf, South Australia, this split-colour parti sapphire is a rare treasure. Its free-form cut highlights each stone's uniqueness, with the lapidarist shaping the gem according to the rough sapphire, rather than traditional cuts. This method preserves the precious material and ensures a truly one-of-a-kind piece.

Elisa and Sam were instantly captivated by this sapphire. To further highlight its beauty, Laura set the stone in her distinctive flat spot setting. Elisa wanted her engagement ring to honour her partner and their beloved puppy, Mila. To achieve this, Laura grain-set two Australian diamonds to represent Elisa and Sam, and one Australian sapphire to symbolise Mila, all nestled into the flat spots, creating a personal and one-of-a-kind design.

This Australian sapphire has been set into a 100% recycled and refined 9-carat gold band using Laura's signature flat spot setting. You can find out more about the importance of using recycled materials here.

This ring came gift packaged in a wooden box made by the New Zealand team at GIVE. These guys make special bespoke wooden jewellery boxes for Coral Covey from sustainable forest woods with care, quality and workmanship.

Laura also includes an authenticity certificate with every ring, detailing the carat and quality of the precious stones and metal as well as special care instructions.
