When Joel approached Laura about designing and making an engagement ring with a 'cat theme,' Laura needed some time to think about the best approach. She wanted the ring to be timeless and beautiful with a few hidden feline elements that Joel and his fiancé Rosie could chuckle about.
Joel carefully selected three Australian Sapphires and together, the 'purrfect design' was created.
Laura set these three stunning sapphires using claw shaped settings which she carved by hand. The band of the ring was textured with a furry pattern and there is a cheeky little tail peeking out on the base of the ring band.
Handmade from 100% recycled and refined 18-carat white gold, and you can find out more about the importance of using recycled materials here.
This ring came gift packaged in a wooden box made by the New Zealand team at GIVE. These guys make special bespoke wooden jewellery boxes for Coral Covey from sustainable forest woods with care, quality and workmanship.
Each ring comes with special care instructions as well as authenticity certificates for any of the stones that are selected for inclusion in the finished piece.
