Georgia and Rebecca were recently engaged when they contacted Laura, wanting to experience the design process together while still creating their own individual pieces. As they sketched, explored stones, and refined ideas with Laura, a shared celestial theme naturally emerged: one ring inspired by the Milky Way, the other by the sun and moon.
Rebecca’s ring from Georgia began with a rose cut Australian parti sapphire she loved for its soft, shifting colours reminiscent of the Milky Way. She imagined two companion stones to complete her miniature cosmos: a freeform alexandrite acting as a tiny asteroid, and a champagne diamond as a shooting star to mirror the diamond in Georgia’s ring. Set in an asymmetrical three-stone layout with organic claws, her palette of blues, teals, whites, and peaches gives the piece an ethereal glow. The symbolism continues through the alexandrite, which is Georgia’s birthstone, and the champagne diamond that links their two rings.
Georgia’s ring from Rebecca was guided by the idea of Sun & Moon, You & Me. She chose a Toi et Moi layout pairing a round brilliant Australian teal sapphire in organic claws with a warm champagne diamond flush set with milgrain detailing. The organic shank curves gently around both stones, making them feel suspended in space yet held within the same orbit, perfectly capturing their sun and moon theme.
Laura hand carved both rings in platinum using 100% recycled and refined material, creating two individual designs shaped together and connected by the same sky.
