Lana and Tyson first reached out after hearing about Laura through a friend who visited her stall at Finders Keepers. While they weren’t officially engaged yet, they knew they wanted to design the ring together—with Tyson planning to hold onto it until the perfect moment for a surprise proposal.
They were after something meaningful and wearable for every day, something that reflected their shared love of art, colour and each other. Lana came prepared with a vision board, full of elements she hoped to include in the design. Her ideas, combined with inspiration from Laura’s ‘Balanced Asymmetry’ ring, helped guide the early design direction: a colourful cluster with an organic sense of movement and texture.
Laura hand-carved the ring in 100% recycled and refined 18-carat white gold, setting it with a mix of sapphires ranging from purple to green/yellow parti tones, along with a 0.46ct rose cut salt and pepper diamond. The stones were sourced from Australia, the US and Sri Lanka, blending local and international colour palettes.
To enhance the playfulness of the design, the setting styles were intentionally varied: petal- and leaf-like claws, organic claws, and flush settings with fine engraved detailing. Tiny dew drops and leaf embellishments flank the stones, adding softness and flow.

This ring came gift packaged in a wooden box made by the New Zealand team at GIVE. These guys make special bespoke wooden jewellery boxes for Coral Covey from sustainable forest woods with care, quality and workmanship.
Laura also includes an authenticity certificate with every ring, detailing the carat and quality of the precious stones and metal as well as special care instructions.
Customers who were interested in this item also viewed the 'A Foresty Green Treasure' and the 'Trilogy Reimagined' ring.
