Deanny and Hannah’s ring is a beautiful juxtaposition, combining a free-form cut sapphire with classic round brilliant side stones to blend traditional ideas with a modern aesthetic.
At the centre is a 1.04ct Australian sapphire in a vibrant green, set in 18ct yellow gold. The combination of green and yellow calls to mind a forest in early spring—a fitting symbol of their relationship, full of life, growth, and new beginnings.
Flanking the central stone are two round brilliant cut Australian sapphires. The ring brings together a mix of textures and setting styles, including flat spots, soft organic claws, and delicate beaded milgrain, adding depth and character throughout. It doesn’t follow convention, which is something we really love here at Coral Covey.
Free-form sapphires are especially unique. Unlike standard cuts, they’re shaped around the natural form of the rough stone. The lapidarist (the person who cuts the stone) works intuitively with each piece, creating a shape that gets the most out of the material. No two are ever alike—each one is a true original, making it a powerful symbol of individuality and love.
We love how Deanny and Hannah embraced contrast to create something that feels timeless, thoughtful, and completely their own.
